STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP)

 

Dear Parents/Guardian/Students,

     As per the guidelines laid out by the State Government of Karnataka and as due to COVID-19 situation, we would like to inform you that schools have been advised to start physical and online classes simultaneously for grade 1st to 5th from October 25th, 2021 and grade 6th to 7th from September 06th, 2021.                

 

As you prepare to send your child back into the school/classroom, be sure to reinforce the everyday COVID-19 precautions he or she will need to keep in mind, as well as what makes these precautions so effective.

 

We have to follow the generic preventive measures include safety health measures that are to be followed to reduce the risk of COVID-19. These measures need to be followed by all Students, Parents and teachers also in the school campus at all times.

 

Parents /guardians may take the following steps:

  1. Ensure that your child goes to school wearing a mask and sensitize them not to exchange masks with others.

 

  1. Masks can be made at home also. Face masks made of cloth may be reused after thorough washing with soap. Disposal face masks are to be disposed safely.

 

  1. Encourage their ward to wear full-sleeved clothes to minimize the interaction with any public surface.

 

  1. Parents may take care not to send their ward to school if the child is not feeling well.

 

  1. Drop and pick children from school, as far as possible. If sent by school bus then maintain physical/social distancing and ensure that everyone is wearing a mask.

 

  1. Ask their ward to practice physical/social distancing at all times once she/he leaves home.

 

  1. Clean and sanitize their ward’s uniform and other belongings daily.

 

  1. Ensure that their ward maintains personal hygiene such as bathing, brushing teeth properly twice a day (in the morning and before sleeping) and trimming of nails.

 

  1. Provide two clean small napkins/clean cloth daily with their ward for wiping hands.

 

  1. Give healthy food, fresh fruits, and clean water (Hot water bottle) in their lunch box or send a tiffin box for mid-day meal and advise their ward not to share their tiffin and water bottle with others

 

  1. In case of the student’s or his/her family members testing positive it should be immediately bought to the notice of the school principal. Then the student is advised to self-quarantine and should visit the school only after getting the negative certificate (COVID-19 RT-PCR Test report).

 

 

Protect yourself from COVID-19 for Students

Dear Students,

Due to COVID-19 few Safety measures things to be carried everyday inside the School campus/classroom to protect yourself from the COVID-19 are as follows:

  1. Maintain Physical distancing of at least 6 feet in school campus. Avoid contacting other person.

 

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

 

  1. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

 

  1. Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.

 

  1. strictly practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.

 

  1. Spitting shall be strictly prohibited in school campus.

 

  1. Compulsory students should wear Mask and Clean your hands before putting on the mask. Avoid touching the mask while wearing it.

 

  1. Inspect the mask for tears or holes, do not use a mask that is damaged.

 

  1. Adjust the mask to cover your mouth, nose, and chin, leaving no gaps on the sides.

    

  1. Change your mask if it gets dirty or wet. Clean your hands before taking off the mask.

 

  1. Take off the mask by removing it from the ear loops, without touching the front of the mask.

 

  1. Clean your hands after removing the mask.

 

  1. Carry and use alcohol based a small size sanitizer or Personal small hand sanitizer (50 ml)

 

  1. Cary a lunch box and hot water bottle or Personal transparent water bottle
